This first limited edition single barrel Rum Chamarel (only 792 bottles) was bottled in 2014. Use sugar cane grown in the distillery property of land, a unique variety, harvested at the peak of their sweetness in September 2008. Chamarel Single Barrel 2008 it is a pure rum double distillation exclusively made in alembic pot still. An alembic pot still for distilling rum is a rarity, but it gives a particular softness rum Chamarel. It is aged in new French oak. The Chamarel rum has suffered a slow and gradual reduction over the years, favored by the climate of Mauritius.
Tasting notes: Nose: Explosion of flavor with abundant notes of vanilla, coconut and pear. floral scents. Palate: Vibrant with a good balance between dry tannins, sweetness of honey and vanilla. Deep woody and spicy aromas. Finale: Persistent and soft as velvet. The single barrel 2008 has a fine rum to pair with a cigar among the best in the world as Padron Reserva or Macanudo Opus X, or why not, a rum to be savored slowly with a beautiful pipe smoked Mastro De Paja and Peterson tobacco.
