The Springbank Vintage 1996 is one of the rarest whiskeys in the Springbank Vintage series.

Distilled in 1996, it was aged in single barrel number 264 ex sherry.

Bottled on the occasion of the historic whiskey festival in Milan in 2009 in only 600 bottles.

The Springbank Vintage 1996 is one of the most coveted whiskey bottles by collectors around the world.

The first batch of vintage Springbank whiskey, distilled in 1996 and aged in sherry barrels according to use for 13 years and selected by Frank McHardy and Stuart Robertson.

The bottling of this rare distilled bottle in Campbeltown was made exclusively for a few fans of the 2009 Milan Whiskey festival, only 600 pieces.

Bottled at 57.1% natural grade, this 1996 vintage Springbank has been aged for 13 years and the barrel 264 has been carefully selected to produce the first 1996 release.

The result is a unique, incredible, refined product.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Clean with some notes of freshly cut hay, herbal tones and notes of moist musk and earth roots, notes of tropical fruit and dried leaves. Some notes of dried cereals and a hint of oriental spices, including a very pleasant hint of cinnamon.

Taste: pungent and full. Notes of tangerine juice and sugar, hints of lime, buttery barley and malt extract.

There are some hints of smoked caramel with custard in the Springbank vintage 1996 whiskey festival Milan 2009.

Finish: long and fairly fresh with a little spice and vanilla on the finish.

The bottle is not equipped with a box.
