Tom Spanu pipe made of natural Erica Scoparia briar handpicked in Sardinia and aged for 10 years.

Heather scoparia, in Sardinian Castanàrgiu dialect, has a slightly reddish color and is fire resistant.

The flame and color of this Tom Spanu briar root pipe are wonderful!

The wood to make the pipe is collected by hand in the Mediterranean scrub of Sardinia, and then worked in the Spanu sawmill in Alghero.

This polished briar pipe by Tom Spanu has a classic straight shape with a worked chimney and balanced dimensions and a long torch.

The long seasoning of heather briar allows to contain the weight and to have a dry smoke.

The veins of the heather root and its brightness are completed in the design of the pipe.

Tom Spanu took the most representative woods of Sardinia, Erica Scoparia, olive, cork and lemon and transformed them into wonderful tobacco pipes.

The whole Spanu family collaborates in the search for the best heather briar, in the seasoning and finishing of the extraordinary briar pipes.

Tom Spanu pipes follow a classification of quality and perfection indicated by the letter F, F2, F3 ...

All woods and briar are collected by hand in the Sardinian Mediterranean scrub, selected, seasoned and processed in the Alghero sawmill.

In this case we are faced with a pipe made with briar seasoned since 1978, and Tom Spanu wanted to emphasize it with the engraving on the pipe "RAD.1978"

Tom Spanu pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of a long and patient process.

In an attempt to always be at the top and to offer lovers of his pipes, more and more new products, Tom Spanu for some years has started to use other types of wood such as lemon, olive and myrtle and materials such as cork.
