Hampden, renowned among Jamaican rums for producing spirits with an intense flavor, which are the quintessence of rum in Europe and other parts of the world.
Founded in 1753 in Trelawny, Hampden Estate is one of the oldest sugar cane processing companies in Jamaica and its products are characterized precisely by the total respect for the island's tradition.
Hampden still uses only copper stills today, so all rums are produced with 100% pot-still distillation and, as in the best Jamaican tradition, fermentation takes place for quite a long time with natural yeasts.
This guarantees the development of intense and unique aromas.
The Hampden Estate produces high quality typically Jamaican rums and supplies rums to Luca Gargano for Habitation Velier, among other things.
Rum Hampden Great House distillery edition is the arrival point for all the aging of the distillery selected by Gargano and officially marketed by Velier.

To produce it, ancient techniques are used, handed down from generation to generation.

The production follows techniques in use since the 18th century which determine a high value of esters and which give the product a unique aromatic profile.
Tropical aging; both references distributed by Velier have aged more than 7 years in Jamaica, which is equivalent to an aging of approximately 25 years in Europe.
Natural color and no added sugar in the rum.
Incredibly pungent with fruity, delicately spiced notes and cooked apple juice, it is a rum with a very long finish, ideal for tasting as a single rum.
