The "Chairman reserve forgotten cask" is a limited edition rum from the Chairman's Reserve of the St. Lucia Distillery.
This rum is born from the barrels that were forgotten after the fire that seriously damaged the distillery in 2007.
With the fire and the loss of the distillation sector they had to run for cover and put the barrels full of rum wherever they could.
In 2011, old barrels filled with distilled rums were found in 2000 and after a taste the St. Lucia distillery decided to create this special release.
The Rum "Chairman's Reserve the Forgotten Casks" Saint Lucia Distillers is a union of rum distillates with continuous and discontinuous method refined from 6 to 11 years in oak barrels used to contain the Whiskey Burbon.
This rum is so good that in 2011 he won the gold medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition.
