Foursquare Principia 2008 is a rum produced by the collaboration between Richard Seale and Luca Gargano in Barbados.
It is a rum blend of three different types of barrel used for aging.
Naturally, the aging period varies according to the type of cask.
In this way the characteristics of the cask are best exploited and the rum is improved.
The rum distilled by Foursquare in 2008 is aged 3 years in former Bourbon barrels and then 6 years in ex-sherry casks.
Each of the three rums is a Single Blended like all rums in aging at Foursquare.
The Foursquare Principia 2008 was bottled in the tropics in November 2017 and produced 5400 Bottles.
Foursquare Principia 2008 with its careful aging in double barrel was immediately considered one of the best rums in the world.
It was aged under the tropics, as usual.
Color: Beautiful glossy amber color, overload. A color that inspires respect, classy, elegant.
Perfumes: Opulent, Hints leather, tobacco, lemon peel for a creamy and buttery nose. In a sense, it is rather delicate, despite the lethal force. Two "Lacrime d'angelo" of water will dilute the power, opening it even to the less accustomed palates.
Mouth: Full-bodied and rather dense with hints of oak and cocoa, spices, nuts, toffee.
The nose is complementary in the mouth, with notes that are indelibly fixed in the memory of those who taste it.
Combine the Foursquare Principia 2008 rum with powerful, aroma-laden cigars like Cohiba Talisman or Davidoff W. Churchill late Hour.
